This weekend my parents threw the most beautiful baby shower. We were so overwhelmed by our family and friend’s love, thoughtfulness and generosity that my husband told me I didn’t have a shower…I had a downpour. We are so blessed to bring our son into such a loving circle and I am so grateful to my parents for all they did to make this one of the best days of my life!
My mom planned a beautiful ladies lunch at my favorite restaurant in Millburn, La Pergola. I absolutely love their food and it used to be a bridal shop so it has the most gorgeous windows that let in a ton of natural sunlight. The food was fabulous and the owners Agron and Driola who have become like family to us went out of their way to make the day perfection.
The best parents (and grandparents-to-be) in the whole world.
There aren’t enough words to say how much I absolutely loved this cake! My mom knocked it out of the park with coming up with a design and Sorrento’s Bakery in East Hanover did an incredible job of making it. Bonus: it had cannoli filling!!
We ordered so many things from Etsy for the shower and these cookies were just one of the great purchases. These came from Etsy Shop 3CSC. She packaged them with such love and care and the cookies tasted just as delicious as they look. I will definitely be purchasing his Baptism cookies from her when the time comes! We also ordered baby blue macaroons for the table but they got a little crushed when they were shipped.
I absolutely loved these baby buggies with hydrangeas! My mom teamed up with our dear family friend Jodi Belizzone of Flower Power Designs to create incredible arrangements and decor for the shower. Every detail was simply perfection.
I can’t even begin to explain how touched we were by the incredible gifts we received. From handmade outfits and blankets to a very special 70 year old rocking horse that was restored we are just so overjoyed with how thoughtful people were to our growing family.
I am not a huge fan of shower games but do love bingo during gift time. I do this for all my friend’s bridal showers too! It keeps people entertained and our family and friends had a great time playing. We gave out cosmetic bags as prizes. Feel free to reach out if you want details on how to make these cards.
I was back and forth on favor showers but ultimately ended up falling in love with these mini mint soaps from Etsy Store AromaAccents.
