Wedding season has arrived which means plenty of dress fittings, girl time and bridal showers. My bridal shower was just over four years ago and I love looking through pictures of my family and friends from that day. I also love the fun, sweet and silly shower memories that flash back day when I use one of the gifts we received.
Here are some of my favorite gifts we were given and a few ideas I have for some bridal showers I will be attending in the upcoming months.
Her initials are changing which means her monogrammed items will need to be replaced soon. Give her a head start on her new collection by giving her a gift with her new letters. You can go small with something like a key chain or robe or bigger with a vase or a piece of jewelry like a necklace.
Other monogram ideas that she could use are household items like pillowcases, hand towels and cutting boards.
Mrs (Last Name) Bride Hanger
This gift is not only a great keepsake for the bride to be but also comes in handy the day of her actual wedding. Let’s face it…there is nothing glamorous about a flimsy plastic hanger holding up a gorgeous wedding dress. This gift is super affordable and something she treasures forever. You can buy one from Etsy. As you can see from the pic below this was one of my favorite gifts at my shower.
A Recipe Box (with your favorite recipes!)
You can pull recipes from your personal collection or head to Pinterest for ideas.
My mother-in-law did this for me and I love being able to cook some of my husband’s childhood favorites. I got a little emotional when I opened this one.
Wedding Date Ring Dish
Give Ms. Fiance a special place to keep her bling with a personalized ring dish. She can start using it now or wait until her wedding ring set is complete. Here are four pretty options from Etsy.
Wedding Date Art
I loved this gift so much that I ended up forgoing a guest book and having all of our guests sign my 9/10/11 artwork. I figured I would almost never look through a book so having this on display would be a constant reminder of all the love and support we have from our family and friends.
Let your girl show off that she’s wifey material with one of these cute items. I have a gray wifey shirt that I absolutely love wearing with ripped jeans and my husband gets a cute little smile on his face every time I wear it.
Whether you go for traditional lingerie or something fun to wear on the beach, like just married flip flops, your friend will be thrilled to add to her honeymoon wardrobe that she probably hasn’t even had time to think about with all the planning she has been doing.
I hope this helped you to come up with some fabulous ideas for your friends. My bridal shower was one of the happiest day of my life and I treasure my memories of that day, especially when I look at these two pictures of me and my parents in our matching pink theme.
Happy Wedding Season Ladies!
