Recipe: Teriyaki Salmon with Creamy Sriracha Sauce

ssauceI recently came across this salmon recipe on Pinterest from Damn Delicious and DAMN was it delicious!! Definitely take a look at her blog if you are looking for fun recipes. I made a few modifications to her recipe and I seriously can’t wait to have it again.

The glaze on the salmon was bursting with flavors of garlic and ginger. It also had a great combo of sweetness and saltiness from the honey and soy. My husband and I decided this glaze would also be great for chicken.While the glaze was simply delectable, the creamy spicy sriracha sauce kicked it up to be a top ten dish.


Ingredients (serves 4)



Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a pan over medium heat, add soy, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder, honey and 2 cups of water. Bring to simmer.

Stir in cornstarch and mix until it thickens. This took me about 3 minutes. Let mixture cool to room temp.

In a large bowl (or freezer bag), combine sauce and salmon and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

While your salmon is marinating it’s time to make the sriracha sauce! Whisk the mayo, sriracha and condensed milk together and put the mixture aside. Easy, right?

Lightly coat a baking dish with non stick spray and place the fillets in a dish. Put in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Plate the fish and drizzle the sriracha sauce over the salmon. To really up your plating game you can opt to add a pinch of sesame seeds and sliced scallions.

I served the dish with brown rice and broccoli. Enjoy!
